Reservations


Please make your reservation using our online booking process. We can cater for parties from one to ten. For bookings of seven guests or more, please contact us directly. If you experience any difficulty with online booking, please call or email the restaurant. Due to the small size of our team, we are only able to respond to booking enquiries outside of restaurant service hours.

Guests are required to provide a non-refundable deposit of £30 per person by credit card to secure their reservation. This will be deducted from your bill at the end of your meal or retained by us in the event that your reservation does not go ahead, for whatever reason.

We apologise but we cannot cater for younger children, accordingly we do not accept reservations for parties accompanied by children under 12 years of age.

Please note we offer the following tasting menus only. We have no à la carte menu.

Dinner: Tuesday to Friday
6 course tasting menu
Seating between 6.00pm and 9.00pm, restaurant closes at midnight.

Dinner: Saturday
8 course tasting menu
Seating between 6.00pm and 9.00pm, restaurant closes at midnight.

Early Setting: Tuesday to Saturday
4 course tasting menu
Seating at 6.00pm.

Lunch: Thursday to Saturday
4 course tasting menu
Seating at 12.30pm, 1.00pm and 1.30pm, restaurant closes at 3.30pm.

Advance notice: Holiday closure from 3rd November, reopening 3rd December, 2024. Thanks in particular to the incredible impact of the many positive reviews we’ve enjoyed this year, and an unprecedented demand for reservations, we are planning ahead to close the restaurant during November for well-earned staff holidays, refurbishment and maintenance. We will be closed from Sunday, 3rd November, reopening Tuesday, 3rd December, 2024. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Polite reminder: we apologise but the restaurant does not admit babies, young people under 12, or dogs other than assistance dogs.


Dietary requirements and food allergies

With a minimum of 24 hours advance notice, we are delighted to offer tasting menus that meet the following dietary requirements:

  • Gluten-free
  • Dairy-free
  • Nut-free
  • Pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan and ostrovegan

Guests should be aware that although we take great care, we do not operate a nut-free kitchen.

We regret that we are unable to offer specific alternatives for guests with fish, shellfish or mollusc allergies beyond our vegetarian and vegan options, or to cater for those with allium allergies.

As alternative menus are individually planned and prepared, they are not available to walk-in guests or those with reservations made on the day.

Please highlight any dietary requests when you make your reservation, as indicated in the reservation form, or for parties over five, when reserving by telephone. 

Cancellation policy

When you reserve with us, you are required to provide a deposit of £30 per person by credit card. This will be deducted from your bill at the end of your meal or retained by us in the event that your reservation does not go ahead, for whatever reason. However, we do understand that the unexpected sometimes happens and will always do our best to re-arrange your reservation if time allows.

Service charge

A 10% service charge will be added for all parties of eight guests or more.

Children

We apologise but we cannot cater for younger children, accordingly we do not accept reservations for parties accompanied by children under 12 years of age.

Dress Code

We do not operate a dress code but ask that guests dress with consideration for other diners.

Dogs

We regret that, with the notable exception of assistance dogs, dogs are not otherwise allowed in the restaurant.

Parking

The restaurant has no guest parking, however there are several town centre public car parks nearby. The nearest car park to the restaurant is on East Street. Car parks can get busy, particularly during the day.

Please arrive on time for your reservation. We have limited space and may not be able to accommodate early arrivals in the restaurant.

Accessibility

Catch at the Old Fish Market is committed to making our restaurant accessible for guests with disabilities. We have installed a lift, providing guest and wheelchair access to the restaurant level. The restaurant area can accommodate wheelchair users and there is an accessible toilet facility on the same level. We welcome assistance dogs.
